Welcome! I have decided to have a tech page, but since we are not allowed to post things on pages, I think I found a way!! Yet leaving comments will be hard. You have to copy the title of the entry and then post them in the comment box at the very bottom of the page. Well enjoy. :)

ZiPhone…

So some of you may already know that jailbreakme.com is not working as it use to. That for some reason when ever you go to jeailbreak your iPod and go on the site to do so, Safari closes on you and your back to the home screen. Well, I don’t know the reason for that, I just know that it isn’t working and people are looking for other ways to jailbreak their iPod’s. Anyways… there is an EASY way to do this. Believe me. I’ve done it 4 or so times. :) All of the tries have worked. What you need is:

          - The iPod
          - iPod Cable
          - ZiPhone program          ( what you have to do to get that program is go to “Ziphone.org” – when                                                           doing so, scroll down a little, it will say “DOWNLOAD… blah blah” click it,                                                       place it where ever you wish, but remember where it is for you’ll need it to                                                       jailbreak the iPod. )
          - Thats it.

Now after downloading the Ziphone program, open it. Hook your iPod into your computer. Open iTunes. Go to iTunes and restore & update your iPod. When doing so it’ll update to 1.1.4. After thats done, go to the ZiPhone program… you’ll see something like:

                    ”iPHONE”
                    ”iPHONE / iPOD TOUCH”
”Help & Info – Visit ZiPhone.org – Stop (Kill ZiPhone)”

Now what you need to click on is, “iPhone / iPod touch Jailbreak”. When you click it, it’ll begin. DON’T TOUCH THE iPOD! Keep the program running! Okay? Your iPod screen will turn white or black, and then a bunch of HTML codes will appear on the screen. Look at your computer screen and on the bottom of the ZiPhone program you’ll see the same codes or something there as well. Then a picture of Zorro (in color) will appear on your iPod saying it has successfully has been installed. There, it’s DONE! :)

Go to installer and go to “SOURCES”… click “EDIT” then “ADD” type in:

“http://repo.applerepo.com”     – After that is done go to INSTALL and click on “iPHONE 1.1.4 Apps for…” click that then the app thats inside that. When you go to your home screen you’ll see the January apps there, FREE. Also whats cool is you have the ability to move around your apps to a different page or the same. :) When you do that you can delete the Z-Blog from the home screen if you wish not to have it, as I did. :D  Whats cool about this app, is you can be looking at your favorite site and want it to be on your homescreen. When you click on the “Add to Favorites” button you can put it on your home screen to keep a watch on it. Its like leopard. :) Well enjoy.

Gawker…

So today I was reading a friend of mine’s blog. While reading his new entry, he mentions this amazing program for Mac’s, called “Gawker”. What it is, is records using iSight or an external Camcorder hook-up, thats connected to record what you do, or well anything random. It is basically a time-lapse program. Other people could watch and record your time-lapse video, by using an IP Address. Share using bonjour. You can be streaming by being combined up to four side-by-side locations! I thought it was pretty interesting, so I myself decided, what the heck, why not ‘try’ it.

When I did, I fell in love with it. Doing a couple of tests, here and there to see what I could do with it, what could I use it for, and such, I knew right then and there I am going to use this program a lot! :) I did a short and very stupid video of me drinking my Fiji water and two bears clabbering each other. Haha. Well check out the site at:       http://gawker.sourceforge.net/Information.html

Uninstalling is easy as Installing…

Ever wonder what happens to thing you install one day, then want to uninstall another? Ever wonder how it works on an Apple. On a PC, it’s very easy to uninstalling. Go click on the start menu, go to “Control Panel” then click on “Add or Remove Programs”. But how do you do it on a Mac? Is it that easy?

No, it’s easier! With AppZapper, it lets you have the power to uninstall the things you have installed and don’t wish to have anymore. On a Mac (Apple) you find it to be super easy to install programs. A window pops open asks you to drag the icon towards the application folder and there you have it. Your program has been installed. But how do you uninstall?

For some reason Apple has forgotten to add an uninstaller to their computers. When you click on your program you wish to uninstall is never gives an option to do so. With AppZapper you could uninstall as easy as installing.
    Just got to:        http://www.appzapper.com

Install and then uninstall all the programs you wish to uninstall. *note it’s NOT free. But its well worth it.

How to Jailbreak 1.1.3-1.1.4

Okay so like many people with an iPod Touch seem to be wanting to jail-break their iPod’s but can’t seem to figure out how, and Youtube video’s aren’t helping very well. Reason your here is for an answer, and I’m here to help. :) If you own a Mac your in luck! If your a window’s user… well I mastered how to do it there and it was just crazy, but try this anyways. It should work either way. Remember by jail-breaking your iPod you void your warranty, so please do it at your own risk. Thanks.

    Here we go;

    – Step One:
Panicking yet? – I’m sure you are… take a second and think about what your doing, if you still up for it, then I’m here to help.

First download these two IPSW’s:         (1.1.1 ipsw)    http://tinyurl.com/2lbdsm
                                                                 (1.1.2 ipsw)    http://tinyurl.com/2psrv8

    – Step Two:

After doing that connect your iPod Touch to your desktop – or – laptop. Hold down the “HOME” & “POWER” button. Wait till the iPod Touch screen is black. When that’s done, release your finger from the Power button, but still hold down to the home button.

    – Step Three:

A window will pop up in your iTunes. It will say that iTunes has detected your iPod Touch in Safe Mode (or something along those lines). When it does, release your finger from the home button. Click “Okay.”

    – Step Four:
After you have clicked the “Okay” button,

(If you are a Mac User hold down the Apple icon Button (has like a tic-tac-toe kind of icon on it too)
(( If your a Windows user hold down Shift + ATL))

and click “RESTORE.” This window will pop up asking what version you would like to downgrade to. Click on 1.1.1 (FIRST_).

    – Step Five:
Now it will downgrade from 1.1.3 to 1.1.1. If everything works okay your done. Your iPod Touch will now be 1.1.1. – But if it doesn’t unhook your iPod Touch then hook it back up… it’ll ask you what to do then click ipsw 1.1.2 then… from there go to 1.1.1 & your
DONE!!!

            NOW THAT YOUR DONE….

You will have to go to safari type in jailbreakme.com
scroll to the bottom of that web page and install, installer. It will automatically take you back to your home screen and there you will see a new icon. There you have it, a jail-broken iPod Touch. Enjoy your iPod, have a blast & go crazy. :)

This should work for the 1.1.4 version as well.

Hey Claudia if your reading this, just to let you know I haven’t used PC in over 2 years, so I may be wrong. Try going to the START menu, then find CONTROL PANEL, after thats done click ADD & REMOVE PROGRAMS;; when that is done look for ZIPHONE and then click it, click the UNINSTALL and TADA it’s done. :) That should work. It’s so much easier on a Mac, all you do is drag the app to the trash bin and its gone, haha. PC makes everything complicated. ;) Lol, well if that doesn’t help – email me back. :) Bye
